Summer Rugby Camp
We have collaborated with Mold Rugby club to create a summer camp that unusually focuses on training the brain as well as the body.
“The Focus is firmly on FUN!” explains Darren… “We want children to love the hands on learning experience as much as they enjoy the Rugby aspect.”
It’s mostly learning through the use of iPads as this has been a successful way of engaging pupils at varying ages. CIE have even harnessed MineCraft – the latest craze – to help with numeracy skills!
Summer camps are undoubtedly a real help for working parents who are in need of childcare during the summer holidays. This collaboration of sport, education and fun ticks all the boxes for both parents and children alike.
21st – 23rd July – Under 7s – Under 11s – Only £65
24th -25th July – Under 12s – Under 16s – Only £50

Tim Rylands Event
The past two days have been very eventful with visitors from all over North Wales taking over The Rofft Primary School in Marford, Wrexham for our Tim Rylands (www.timrylands.com) two day event.
Each day was spilt into two parts with the mornings being a mixture of staff, visitors and pupils of The Rofft working together on some writing and oracy exercises. The afternoons were a chance to let the grown-ups loose on their iPads/laptops learning a range of software that will enhance their pupils learning in the classroom.
Tim was such an inspiration to all who took part in either of the two days, from teachers to pupils, everybody left with a big smile and the excitement to go back to their classrooms and try out all the new apps and techniques they had learnt.
Kate Sturdy tweeted: “@creativeine Brill course by @TimRylands, very inspiring & full of fantastic ideas to use #ICT2inspire” after experiencing the Foundation Day on Monday and her views were shared by everyone who attended.
We would like to thank Geriant Morris (Head Teacher), Simon Fisher (Teacher) and all the staff at The Rofft for welcoming us into their school for two days and being such a massive help with so many things. A huge thank you to Mike Elliot (@mikeondigital) for helping to organise the whole event and especially for helping Beki to get her car out of the car park to make it to tuition in time!! And thank you very much to Helen Kirby for the delicious buffet!
Of course we need to say thank you to Tim Rylands and Sarah Neild for being so inspiring and hope to work with them again in the near future!
We hope everybody enjoyed their day and look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you to all attendees from all schools!
